I jumped last year August and have been working out of home as a sole practitioner since then. It is, by far, a better experience than my time at a large law firm and while it can get a bit much being the only person in my office, I wouldn't trade it for partnership at my old firm and a BMW any day.

Thanks for your perspective!

Thanks for the links and the interesting perspective. I'm a solo-by-necessity (due to lack of firm positions in my town)and it's nice to hear positives in the midst of my start-up angst.
